It's just the latest more comfortable version of the plastic lampshade collar, to stop a dog from licking/biting the op site. It took Ray twice as long to do the walk yesterday as folk kept stopping him as they'd not seen one before. I understand it may not be so effective for a dog with a long nose! But it works fine for Jinks, can eat and drink with it on.
