Charlie by quietpurplehaze

Charlie

Walking across the water meadows at St Cross yesterday, I chanced upon Fred whose portrait I took recently in my strangers' series:

We had a chat and then Fed's springer spaniel sat still as a statue for his own portrait. I realised afterwards that Fred was standing just out of reach of my camera with a tennis ball held up to keep Charlie's attention!!
Beautiful capture and Dog! Guess he is not a stranger anymore!!

We had a liver and white springer spaniel while I was growing up. Her name was Pepper as she had little spots all over her nose like Charlie. Isn't he sweet waiting so nicely for the ball! Pepper loved chasing a tennis ball too.
