the way out
The exit from the Hospital of St Cross and Almshouse of Noble Poverty: You can perhaps see the smaller final exit through the arch.
I just wondered what textures and patterns might be revealed in the fabric of these old buildings in a b&w conversion.

It looks great when viewed on black. It's such an interesting building that I looked it up on Wikipedia! It was founded by the grandson of William the Conqueror and a younger brother of King Stephen. I love entrance ways.
