This haunting piece, 'The Refugee', in cold cast bronze by Diana Brandenburger, was given by her to Chichester Cathedral in 2008 to tie in with the cathedral's celebration of its 900th year.
We saw it for a second time today and I found it equally as moving as the first.

What a thought provoking Sculpture, the artist really captures the hopelessness and despair you see in the faces of refuges everywhere, beautiful lighting and capture Hazel thanks for sharing it with us:)
Thank you both for your comments. I first took and posted a shot of this sculpture in Feb 2013 with a Canon p&s camera. It was quite a good photo but I'm pleased to see what a much better job is made of it by my current camera. It's probably the most moving sculpture I've ever seen.
