1 - pick up a crutch from the floor
2 - help your 'partner' get undressed
3 - get the washing out of the machine
4 - pick up litter and put it in the bin
5 - wait patiently
6 - push a drawer shut with your nose
These are a few snapshots I took during a demo by assistance dogs in training at Canine Partners 'partnership ceremony' day earlier this week.

It is really amazing what they can learn and do. There is a gal who visits our church- her dog is trained to detect seizures and another gal who has a trained therapy dog- she helps with people who have been traumatized in one way or another. Amazing animals!

Cherrill, thank you. I wanted Jinks to be a therapy dog but he has never calmed down enough and at nearly 14 I think there is no hope!
