an outing

Today we visited the Kaffe Fasset exhibition at Mottisfont. I was pleasantly surprised to find photography allowed.

The walls of the rooms had been painted bright toning colours especially for this exhibition.

Quotes from Kaffe about his use of colour are painted in different colour lettering on various walls.

I was reminded of Clare, living in a rented accommodation in Dublin when she worked in the uni there. She asked her landlady if she could decorate her room.

Permission granted, the room soon looked beautiful with the walls in a deep turquoise blue with quotes from Shakespeare in gold. I never found out what the landlady thought.
