starting a new painting

I hadn't seen my artist friend and stranger collaborator, Don, for ages but there he was last week in the High Street, Winchester, beginning another painting.

Ray jokingly told him he wasn't too keen on this one but Don explained that this is the initial framework, none of which will be seen in the final version.

Don was muffled up against the cold but kindly offered to take off his duffle coat hood so I could take a shot.
