Although the nave of the church has never been re-roofed, the chancel (far right) is intact and contains beautiful windows, which replace those damaged in the 1941 bombing raid, and hand carved decorations on the pews.
Royal Garrison Church was built c1212 by the Bishop of Winchester as part of a hospital and hostel for pilgrims.

I had to look twice here because it looks like this church is in good nic & then all of a sudden you notice the missing roof through the arched window.
