This machine makes so much noise that, apart from Ray having to wear ear defenders, I thought it was about to hoover up the slate chippings from the ground as well.
Now THAT would have made a right racket!! All those stones flying around! I tried using one of these once but I found it shook me too much and set all my nerves on edge. Teenager, on the other hand, thinks it is an awesome gadget!

We have been talking about leaf blowers today & I was laughing as our front garden at the farm was surrounded by oak & ; Sycamore trees. Every autumn the leaves used to cover the whole area but I never moved one leaf...I thought good mulch. After we retired Harry bought a leaf blower & made hard work of using it every year...he never used to put hardly one foot in that garden all year round when he was milking cows!
