This is something I've been working on for several days now. It's a project for photography club - something that is a passion of mine. All the photographs except 3 (downloaded from Pinterest) are mine. The music is courtesy of Neil Young.
It is 5 minutes long. I understand most everyone is strapped for time so I understand that you may not want to view it. Comments are invited. And thank you in advance if you decide to view this.
Watched it all, you're so good at knitting all these beautiful things! Great tribute too. Half way there was a funny surprised, did you teach it how to knit :-)
Love the song and also that album of his!
Wow! This project is incredible! Your photographs and your knitting are equally beautiful, and the end is so poignant. I've never seen anything like this on 365 or anywhere else. Thanks so much for sharing. @pplutz @lealady @kareenking @mbemis @laurielizard
You are so clever, that was lovely and I kept thinking of my mom how she used to be always knitting with 4 needles, so I was nicely suprised that you had dedicated this film, with that lovely music, to your mom. thank you for sharing it.
This is really nice and you are very talented with those knitting needles! I reminds me of my mother also! She learned how to knit when she was 6-years old - it was part of the curriculum in the schools then. She taught me how to knit when I was 8 but I never took off like you have. Dementia and strokes have robbed my mother of being able to knit but she still wants a basket of yarn and needles sitting next to chair! It is something she did for over 90 years and I think it is comforting to her. Several years ago I put this book together for her - you might enjoy it! http://www.picaboo.com/?share=2c9e943907514ca6939c84137b5cda90&version=518604&siteID=ViaPreview
@overalvandaan Thank you so much. I loved those knitting animals. "stole" them off Pinterest. @cejaanderson Thank you for the kind words and the fav! Curious about the folks listed below your comments. Was it your intent to share this with them? I would be so proud if you did. @craftymeg Thank you so much. I have enjoyed making most of them. Some were tough to get through. @confectioner Thank you Marilyn. I'm proud to share it. @altadc Thank you Alta. I appreciate the kind words. @barbtatum Barb, thank you so much. My mother was never as prolific as your mother. Your mother's work (thanks for sharing with me, by the way) was beautiful. And no patterns! That's amazing. I'm fascinated with patterns that change colors. I need to do some more things that do that (sort of a get pushed challenge for knitting). I don't like to knit sweaters because they take so long, compared with the smaller accessories. It was sad when my mother couldn't do it anymore. That was about the same time I wasn't sure she knew who I was. Sad diseases that rob people of their memories.
@peterlgrave I am so glad you did. It wouldn't be "strictly women's business" if more men decided it wasn't too unmanly to knit. There are and have been some very "manly" men who knit.
