Pricing

I've been helping my friend the last two days. Her (non-profit) business was holding one of its annual fund raisers - a yard sale.

One of the volunteers pricing some of the merchandise. Almost every item at the sale was priced with an individual sticker.
When we had the estate sale for my mother, I did a lot of research about how to do it right, as we had only one shot at it. We talked to a man who ran a professional service for estate sales, and he said to use individual price stickers on every item. That's what we did, and it was worth the effort!

So kind of you! And a nice idea for a shot too.

@cejaanderson I'm glad to hear that because i thought it was a bit of a time waster, especially because a lot of the stickers wouldn't stay on.
@pyrrhula You're very kind for saying so. Thank you
@frankhymus Thank you Frank. I love hands doing what they do.

This is so interesting a yard sale.. in America is a yard what we call a garden? We used to have sales called jumble sales, they used to be fun where everything was 10p, or a bag full for £1. Now we have carboot sales

@ziggy77 Thank you Jo. I wish I could say I did as much as a lot of these folks did. But I was the "official" photographer.
@confectioner Technically a yard is the grassy area around a house. This was indoor, so probably more like your jumble sale. Some places even called them "white elephant" sales. Don't know where that term came from.

@randystreat yes we have had white elephant sales..... Useless, extinct objects that no one really wants, but we buy cos its for charity.. Or to give it a home!
