Day after the convergence of Jupiter and Saturn

Because I thought I missed it yesterday I went back out to find a place to see the planets this evening. When I came back home and used an app I put on my phone to determine where they were, I discovered that they are actually in the photo I posted yesterday. It wasn't Venus after all. How cool is that! They are a bit wider apart tonight.
Better viewed on black if you have the time.
Well done !

The "convergence" here wasn't really a true convergence. The planets were close, but there was still separation. ...at least from our point of view. Still amazing regardless!

@cocobella @chejja @grammyn @thewatersphotos @pusspup @aikiuser @wakelys @craftymeg @tosee @pyrrhula Thanks everyone. They never were completely together here either. Nor was it as bright as i was expecting. Oh well, once in a 800 (+/ -). years I'll take it.

Good catch! I too went out the following night just to make sure that what I saw really was the two planets as one. I thought if I see two tonight I'll know I was correct and I was. Love the blue in the sky here.
