Sorry to hear that - my family's vintage ornaments are in the attic (which we can no longer safely get to - they look very similar to your lovely ones)
@jeanniec57 Thank you and I'm sorry that you've lost one too Jeannie. We'll have to start shopping at the antique stores to make up for those that have smashed. @grammyn I can't decide if my hands just don't hold things well anymore or my tree branches are too thick to get the hangers around them. But it's disappointing. I really like the translucence of the old glass balls. @30pics4jackiesdiamond It is harsh and unsympathetic. 😁 @linnypinny That's too bad you can't get to them. Any neighbor kids that might climb up there and hand them down. I'd help, but #1 I don't think you live anywhere close to me, but more importantly #2 I don't climb ladders, steep steps, etc. So really, I'd be no help at all. @shutterbug49 Thank you Debbie. I think they belong to parent and grandparents and perhaps some were purchase at antique stores before everyone wanted them. I actually have several boxes in different sizes. @summerfield Thanks Vikki. You're right. You have to look where vintage items are sold to find them. @kjarn Thanks Kathy. I really have more in other sizes. But these are the really pretty ones. @bkbinthecity It's a shame but they do Brian. @jamibann Thanks Issi. @pusspup I agree Wylie. Thanks for reminding me of that. @brillomick Can't have good things and use them without something happening occasionally. Thanks Mickie. @tosee Thank you Tom. @will_wooderson I might look Will. And in local antique stores. But...will I be willing to pay for them? We'll see. @rhoing That's right Thom. And I will remember that. @tunia This is the original box for some of them. I think I've shuffled ornaments around over the years as I've lost others. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry.
@digitalrn Yes, that's how I feel about them. I really don't remember them on anyone's tree besides my own, but knowing who owned them before me is a good feeling.
