It's raining a lot

Despite the fact that Hurricane Helene hasn't made land yet and that I'm close to 600 miles away, the rains are here. I'm on top of a hill so no flooding danger, but winds are picking up and the it's been raining since some time in the night. Oh yeah, and the peacocks are visiting off and on. They do like my covered patio.

I do hope you are ok Kathy. It is heartbreaking to hear about the devastation and loss of life caused by Hurricane Helene and I heard that North Carolina was hard hit. I am guessing that you are without power so I will be watching to see when you next post and keeping you in my thoughts.

Thank you everyone. I have been safe but “glamping” for 5 days then cleaning up and getting caught up. I will be posting again soon. I apologize that I will not be “catching upl but starting fresh whenever I post again.

Urgh. The weather is so extreme... It's been raining a lot where I am in Tuscany too and while no flooding here, there has been some near Pisa and indeed other parts of Italy...
