A Bit of Fluff 2

Margo Sayer challenged me to choose a prior shot posted here, that you think could have been better. Then, redo or rework it, explaining what you changed and why it pleases you more than the original. I chose to try and redo "A bit of fluff" ( http://365project.org/randystreat/365/2017-05-22). I didn't like the background brightness since it showed off the grain of the fabric used for a background. I felt it was distracting. Instead of reworking I decided to redo it. I found it hard to get the background dark enough and the "fluff" light enough. I also realize that even though I can plan and set up a shot and have in my mind what it should look like, there is a lot of serendipity in my work.
@s4sayer I'm sorry to be so slow. I tried several shots this week and wasn't satisfied. Not particularly satisfied with this, but it is better than the first time.Thank you for the challenge. I'm afraid life got in the way this week.

I don't think I could even gat a shot like this, let alone redo or rework it. It would be interesting to see original shot to make a comparison?

@s4sayer The fluff was on a black background (with less grain this time). I lowered the exposure compensation to get a darker image initially. I believe I played a little with it in lightroom to darken the background some more anThen I ran it through Silver Efex which is part of the Google Nik collection ( a free program). I'll post the original of this now and tag you so you can see it.

This shot is significantly different from the original, especially the luminous stem. Almost as if it has magical powers? I hope you enjoyed doing this; I think you met the challenge.
