This shot seems to have the sun a bit high, but it was taken less than hour before sunset http://www.gaisma.com/en/

@sparkleplenty1 Thank you, Joyce! Some shots are easy when the "material" or subject is this lovely. What a great place to exercise!
@cohare Thanks, Christine! I took a couple yesterday more out of curiosity; I had low expectations. I think I prefer the "glow" of a traditional sunset with reds and oranges and pinks, but this looked kind of "supernova-y" to me and the almost-B&W overall sense is more appealing to me now ... in part thanks to you!
@digitalrn Thanks, Rick. Ten years ago if you told me I'd be chomping at the bit to get outdoors to exercise on a lake and that I would be shooting lots of sunsets over water, I would perhaps have responded with a movie line and asked, "Are you lookin' at *me*?" And yet here I am with one boat in the garage and a second will be on its way from New England (Craftsbury, VT by way of Mattapoisett, Mass) in a few days!
@michelleyoung Some of these are just too easy and practically "take themselves"!
@everydaylife365 Thank you, Lyn. I wasn't sure what this would look like: the sun is a bit high and with the water so smooth, I knew this would be a lot of light burning into relatively small portion of the image, but I was pleased with how it turned out!
