There are so many possible titles for this:
“Well, we’ve never had a purple kitchen before.”
“This is so ‘us.’”
Yep: the painters switched the colors. Sigh.
So the kitchen — not quite finished — is “Pale crocus.” (The lavatory paint is — fortunately — unopened.)
When I met with the painters to get their estimate, we held up all the purple chips in the lavatory and all of the more-neutral chips were in the kitchen. I let them in the house today but had to leave for my first day of classes for the semester before they got set up and began to paint. This is what Clare and I came home to a short while ago…
Suggestion for *e-v-e-r-y* future paint job: identify the room *on* the paint sample! Stay tuned…

oh my ~ no, that doesn't work well, does it? at least it's a small space for them to re-do. At least now that you see it, you can tell how it will look in the lavatory ;-) Lesson learned ~ good advice.
I just been flicking through them both again.. And I still dont think there is a huge difference as they are both so pale.. The tones are soft, so its not screaming out. :o)
@michelleyoung You're right, Michelle, about them being pale. But it was the unseen wall behind me -- which I did *not* photograph the day before -- where the difference was knockmeover!
