“Gear down. Request clearance to land.”

Getting closer to my goal of a particular type of bee-in-flight shot.

Not posted: A close-up of a bug on a lily leaf. The detail that the camera captured from 2+ feet away was amazing to me.

Processing: Cropped and name added.

Well it looks like quite an achievement

Wonderful action shot and the colours are gorgeous. As for your bug shot, it looks the same as this one I posted the other week. This link will take you to the shot plus there are further links to a better close up shot xx

Wow, you have been on fire with the insect shots lately! Well done! (As for the mystery bug on your blog, I think it may be a stink bug, but for your sake, I hope it's not. The ones around her are invasive/introduced.)

@furrylens @psychographer I just googled images for stink bug and I think brown stink bug is exactly what I shot in the garden. Sigh. Just when I have taken care of the Japanese beetles… Thanks for the ID, though!

@digitalrn Thank you, Rick! Getting the couple I have posted required hitting the [Delete] button many, many times!

@psychographer Thanks, Lisa!
As for our bug, looks like it's a stink bug, http://stinkbug-info.org/
Another potentially-harmful pest.

@jtookey150 Thanks, Jean! Well, I have been using what's at hand — our garden — but trying to move away from flowers. It's been truly fun learning about the many butterflies that come to visit!
