I just couldn’t post another Painted Lady… by rhoing

I just couldn’t post another Painted Lady…

There were perhaps a dozen Painted Ladies on the butterfly bush in the campus garden today; it was amazing. Even though I made some interesting images, I have already posted 7 Painted Ladies and I just couldn’t post another.

Although previously posted — http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-09-21 — this is the shot I have been trying to get recently: the seed pod with side- to back-lighting and a dark background. Pennisetum glaucum (grass family Poaceae, common name “Pearl millet”).

Meanwhile, grading continues…

I agree the lighting really brings out the detail. Love how the seeds are even visible.

This is very interesting! I still wouldn't mind another painted lady! Keeps summer around a little bit longer!
