10-frame day by rhoing

10-frame day

Today is “Memorial Day” in the U.S., and we’ve invited Raymond & Jeanne for a cookout meal for Jenny & Steve’s last day with us. Steve is in charge of attitude-adjustment. (Raymond & I always show up at the other’s house with a “horrible attitude,” so the first order of business is always “attitude adjustment”!) I grilled lamb burgers that are mixed with lots of spices and fresh mint from our garden and served with a slice of feta cheese on top. Kind of a lot of work, but worth it! Clare made a pan of homemade brownies from a recipe of her mom’s to which everyone added fresh berries and toppings of their choosing. So if you had strawberries or raspberries, blueberries and whipped cream on top, you had a red-white-and-blue dessert on a “field of brownies.” Delicious meal that was a team effort!

I would so like to have this image back! I would lean over the top of this iris a little more to separate the foreground flower from the background flower. But I like how this shot captures the “3-ness” of the flower.

As with another recent post — http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2013-05-19 — this is an iris in our back-yard garden that is “Iris sibirica” (family Iridaceae).

Well after a meal like you described, I don't see you had any further need for attitude adjusting.
