Travel day oasis

Today we returned home. A niece and her husband recently relocated to a home that is strategically located for us: it’s about halfway between Carbondale and our hometown. Additional incentive: they have an infant daughter! So today we stopped for lunch and a visit. This is their living room.

I like the lines of the blinds, the strips of light they passed to the hardwood floor, the stripes of the chair in the foreground, the pattern of the rug
under the piano bench and the design of the clock on the wall. I also like the uncovered window above the picture window.

Lunch was delicious and it was great seeing you three, Megan, Allen & Leah! —[Great-] Uncle Thom
