Circular polarizer, ‘deconstructed’…

Deconstructed as in I dropped my camera on the kitchen floor and the filter came completely apart. But the filter did its primary job: it gave its life for the lens. The lens seems okay.

I've become lax about how I grab the dSLR off a table or counter. Thumb on the LCD panel and then grasping the built-in flash with my fingers. I should always one-hand the camera by the lens barrel, although this may have happened anyway: the strap caught on the corner of the counter and down went the camera.

Taken with the "foldio" I received as a birthday gift last week from my younger daughter.

Oh, today I reached 20 million [indoor] meters on rowing machines. My first recorded row was early January, 2007…

Once, my camera flew out of my backpack I thought was zipped up. Grabbed replacement camera by the body, but strap caught on a knob...to the floor it went. At least that one was repairable. Ugh.
