Gulf Fritillary (my first)

Today we went to the Coastal Discovery Museum in Hilton Head Island, http://www.coastaldiscovery.org/ Awesome place! Lots of interesting trees & plants, history and their Diamondback Terrapin “Myrtle.” And lots of Gulf Fritillaries and Long-tailed Skippers, which do not visit Carbondale, so one of those kind-of has-to-be today's post!

Confirmed at BAMONA as “Agraulis vanillae” or “Gulf Fritillary”; http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1069434
» Classified as a “Stray” where I photographed it in Hilton Head.

Today's Long-tailed Skipper (“Urbanus proteus”), http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1069435
