*Another* patient in the house

I'm getting physical therapy for a slipped disc and/or pinched nerve issue. Clare had a mishap with scissors and a fingertip that bled and bled. Now our mantel/shelf clock has stopped. While it's not “My grandfather's clock [that] was too large for the shelf, so it stood ninety years on the floor,” it has nevertheless joined me in requiring physical therapy of some kind. I found some helpful YouTube videos and I don't think it's "out of beat," but it still won't run. Fortunately there is a clock repair shop in the region.

I have missed winding it in the morning and I have really missed its chiming on the hour (though it's really more of a "bong'ing" than a "chiming").

Very interesting to study this magnificent clock. I'm sorry to hear of your troubles--when it rains it pours.
