Parking lot ‘find’ by rhoing

Parking lot ‘find’

Went to the drivers license office yesterday to renew a license plate and found this in the parking lot. Not a part of the “circle of life” apparently — just fell out of the sky? Brought it home to photograph in the foldio and realized after-the-fact—this image captures a bit of the coiled-up proboscis.

ID’ed at BAMONA as “Papilio troilus” or “Spicebush Swallowtail”; https://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1142855

You've given him a more noble passing than most butterflies!
