More old stuff…

From my late-father-in-law, who was a mechanical engineer. I took this photo to send to my younger daughter's husband. He's an artist when he's not doing cyber-security, and I hoped he'd be able to use these leads. He can. :-)

"Microtomic"? From Merriam-Webster, https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/microtomic » “Definition of microtomic : of or relating to the microtome or microtomy : that cuts thin slices”

The clever packaging reminds me of the box my father-in-law had for his X-Acto knife set, which was in an earlier post, https://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-01-19

There will be another post of this with a better camera.

Very interesting! Charlie now draws on his computer, but he started out with pencil, though this pre-dates him. He also works at home now, but he used to work in an office with other detailers. All he had was engraved because they were the tools of his trade. This reminds me of all of that.
