Hollerith cards

If you recognize these, then you're likely about as old as I am. I used them in college for a course in FORTRAN programming.

I only have about a dozen of them. I use them on a postal scale to determine whether a mailing needs an extra stamp. This was taken at Raymond & Jeanne's a few days ago. He has a whole box of them; they use them for note paper and bookmarks in cookbooks, I expect.

Oh, I remember all right. New Mexico State had one machine, as big as a building, and all the students had to wait in line to run their cards, and if there was one mistake, start all over again. Not my favorite class.

I do recognize the cards well at least something similar.

@janeandcharlie And only the computer science grad students had CRTs, which were probably 5- or 6-inch screens!
