A horrible day for spectators and runners who do not train in cold-and-rain. We went to see one of Jenny's friends who was running Boston for the first time. Jenny or Steve was tracking her via the B.A.A. Marathon app through the chip in her bib, but we just missed her.
Despite the weather, another of Jenny's friends had a PR of 3:05:34, finishing
• 2,642th overall (top 10.3% of *all* runners who finished),
• 163rd among women (top 1.4% among all women), and
• 151st among women 18-39 (top 2.6%).

What an experience to see this famous marathon! She did really well. I had no idea that there were so many entrants. A couple of years ago, a woman from Santa Fe won (trained in high elevation Santa Fe, but originally from Africa, can't remember which country). When she returned home, Santa Fe gave her a parade. I've seen her twice training with her coach here in Albuquerque.
@maggiemae The Boston Marathon is one of the most prestigious races for long-distance runners. So if they trained, they're certainly going to give it a go!
