Interesting, and I didn't realize your kayaks were so long or is it just that style

@digitalrn Not a kayak. Rowing shells (or "sculls") use two long oars in fixed oar locks (at the ends of the "wings" you see above). Kayaks use one double-ended paddle for propulsion. Also, kayaks aren't [typically] this long.
