Steve & Jenny: Date night by rhoing

Steve & Jenny: Date night

This post was an experiment. I took several shots of our older daughter and her husband (before they went out for dinner, just the two of them). I took all-but-one in portrait orientation; this was the only one I took in landscape. With cropping, I think landscape more easily allows the exclusion of superfluous and extraneous “stuff.”

I have trouble taking portraits. Lack of experience, opportunity and knowledge on my part.

@randystreat I'm with you, Kathy, on both experience and knowledge. When I first had better cameras (late-teens/early-twenties), I was more interested in photographing places and landscapes. I was never-ever comfortable asking people to take their photos. Indeed, initially I was happy to get photos of people looking away at another camera for a more candid look. Now that I have my Medicare card and grandchildren, I suppose I need to get over that reluctance!
