… Trimming dead branches, branches hanging out too far, trying to restore some shape. These were planted when the house was built in the mid-90s, so if they don’t survive the pruning, then maybe it’s time for something new, eh? And, yes, more Arborvitae (second ones “in” from each end). Again, if they can’t stand the pruning…
Once again: The Level Tool in ON1 is amazing. So quick and simple to use. Thanks for suggesting this application, Mags!

@marlboromaam Yeah, the Ross non-response was mildly disappointing, but I suspect he was fully confident it wasn't his problem and he waited, hoping it would sort itself out. I wonder how many "contacts" he receives per day!
@marlboromaam I save 365 photos to a 365 folder. Bug photos go to a different folder. Plant photos go to yet another folder. It looks like the Export Presets probably save to the specified folder, so I won't have to navigate to those folders each time. Convenient in that it should save time and keystrokes. :)
@danette Yeah — this row of over-mature shrubs is sparse and lame. But it's in the back of the house and we don't know what to put there if we rip them out. I wouldn't be opposed to expanding the landscape-brick delimited garden and planting perennials/wildflowers/native plants, but my energy level is diminishing and we don't necessarily see ourselves climbing the stairs to go to bed every night in a five years… Also, because there is a low window here, there is a possible security consideration. Maybe a holly (Ilex) — those things are lethal!
