I got ruthless… by rhoing

I got ruthless…

… Trimming dead branches, branches hanging out too far, trying to restore some shape. These were planted when the house was built in the mid-90s, so if they don’t survive the pruning, then maybe it’s time for something new, eh? And, yes, more Arborvitae (second ones “in” from each end). Again, if they can’t stand the pruning…

Once again: The Level Tool in ON1 is amazing. So quick and simple to use. Thanks for suggesting this application, Mags!

I agree. I'm going to be ruthless with the hollies very soon. Glad you're liking On1, Thom! I see the time is still not quite right. LOL!

@marlboromaam Replies from ON1:
“We're investigating a couple reports of issues with capture date/times being reported in the app. … We had some fixes in our .5 update, but apparently there are still variations occurring of this bug. … We have some open tickets for capture date times changing.”

“Unfortunately, we do not have an immediate fix for you but please check our next update.”

@marlboromaam Gah! I should have some "Retouch" on the rusty straps holding the downspout! LOL!
August 3rd, 2023
@rhoing Shhh! No one will notice that!
August 3rd, 2023
@rhoing So we'll wait on the next update... Funny that Ross never replied that I'm aware of.
August 3rd, 2023
@marlboromaam Yeah, the Ross non-response was mildly disappointing, but I suspect he was fully confident it wasn't his problem and he waited, hoping it would sort itself out. I wonder how many "contacts" he receives per day!

@rhoing Hundreds - if not thousands.

@marlboromaam Just saved my first Export preset. I think that's going to be very, very convenient!!
August 3rd, 2023
@rhoing ??? You mean you haven't saved them before now? Convenient how?
August 4th, 2023
@marlboromaam I save 365 photos to a 365 folder. Bug photos go to a different folder. Plant photos go to yet another folder. It looks like the Export Presets probably save to the specified folder, so I won't have to navigate to those folders each time. Convenient in that it should save time and keystrokes. :)

@rhoing Ah! Yes, very convenient in that respect.

I vote for a landscape update. 😊😇😊

@danette Yeah — this row of over-mature shrubs is sparse and lame. But it's in the back of the house and we don't know what to put there if we rip them out. I wouldn't be opposed to expanding the landscape-brick delimited garden and planting perennials/wildflowers/native plants, but my energy level is diminishing and we don't necessarily see ourselves climbing the stairs to go to bed every night in a five years… Also, because there is a low window here, there is a possible security consideration. Maybe a holly (Ilex) — those things are lethal!
