Please! Anybody!! Tell this newbie how to get half as good a photo as this of the moon!! I have a Nikon D5600 that I am just learning to use and haven't gotten a decent shot of the moon yet. :-( Funny, though, cause I had a Nikon CoolPix a few years back that I got a few shots I was surprised at the clarity of... This is a fav, for sure!
@bjywamer@koalagardens Thanks KG. That is probably the best info. I usually go for F8 on the aperture, and keep the ISO low, since the moon is so bright. You'll need to crank the shutter speed up somewhat from what the metering on the camera says, or you'll just get a lot of bright light. Usually 125, to 160 seems to give fairly sharp details. Most of all I think, will be to have the camera on the tripod. Although, I have gotten some shots hand held, just prefer to put it on the tripod. Hope this helps.
