Low tide on the Northern coast of Tasmania. by robz

Low tide on the Northern coast of Tasmania.

Strangely enough this beach had a 1 foot high wire fence along the far edge of its adjacent nature strip. We believe it was designed to keep penguins off the road. But then the beach is like this at low tide - very rugged for any penguin trying to make it home.
What an ethereal landscape. Beautiful. Seems very wild and remote.

This looks very dramatic on black

@fbailey Thanks B - I never think to look at them on the black background - but you are so right - it is much better.

@casablanca Hi Casablanca - this coast line does seem to do exactly as you said - very wild and remote. We did a full day's drive - right around the North West corner - saw very few people and passed very few cars. Beautiful country side though. :)

It looks very desolate. I like any kind of beach- except the over-crowded ones! Nice shot.

@photobird Hi photobird - it's quite interesting how these tones convey that feeling you mentioned. In reality this is very jagged and rugged. Lighting seems to be everything. Thank you for your comment - it really made me think!

@olivetreeann Thanks Ann - very desolate - but apparently the penguins like it?!

Gosh, that is really rugged. Be wicked on any boat trying to beach.

@golftragic Be impossible I would imagine - don't know how the penguins manage. :)

@joannakate Thanks Joanna - I never think to try the black background. :)

So mysterious looking...influenced I'm sure by the Kettering Incident I watched.

@robz Good point.

@taffy Hi Taffy at the moment we're in the NW corner - the rain sure adding "atmosphere" to everything!We'll be in the Kettering area in about a week - you may recognize some of the scenery. Thanks for having a look. Cheers

I thought it wasn't Earth. Well, it sort of isn't, it's Australia! I wish I'd go there one day! Lovely shot!

@predi Hi Predi. When you get a chance come on over for a look "down under". Lots of interesting stuff. Thanks for your comment. Cheers
