Our water hens are parents - first time we've seen them with babies. They no longer run away - just swim very fast and call to the babies to hurry up!!
So these are yr grand-duckers & sons? Sorry, just a bit corny! I like the horizontals in this...I like it also with the top greenery cropped out...let me know what you think...
@granagringa Hi Madeline - great grand ducks then - and our real first grandson isn't even due til February! :) I tried it with a more severe crop - I can see what you are saying - the green top is distracting. However, it is also reflecting in the water - and there are other green plants also in the water. If I tried to get rid of it all it ended up a really long, skinny photo - panorama ducks.... LOL. I opted for a compromise and got rid of most of the upper and left most of the lower. It is a much better perspective - thanks for the suggestion!! Cheers
@taffy Hi Taffy - I am quite chuffed with your kind comment - other than a crop I'm pretty sure this was SOOC. So I figure I must be getting better with my photos! LOL - and Yeah!! And our dam does have interesting lighting and contrasting colours - even if the hens don't normally co-operate. Thanks for your interest. Cheers Rob
