Well - not really! Her boyfriend lives down the road and has a bad habit of chasing cars. She sits and waits in the hope that he will appear lurking on the side of the road - waiting for his next victim.
Perfect, perfect lighting...And placement. I like how much foreground you left in..I thought about a crop there, but then the scale would be off. You have such a good eye!
Even though I know the "real story" I like how this picture can make up a number of stories. I like the darker lighting as it makes your white dog stand out even more. Great shot!
@granagringa Thanks for your feedback Madelaine. I was trying to see if light could act as a leading line - hence the big foreground and the lighting. I was quite happy with it - I've tried to take this photo many times and it just never worked. Just totally uninteresting. Cheers Rob
@bintal Thanks Sylvia - when he does appear she flies down those steps at a hundred miles an hour and heads off down the fence-line like an idiot!! And then she tries to tell us she's got joint pains - but she's out there again next day! LOL
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann. I'm pleased to read your comment about the lighting. I was playing with a b&w semi-transparent overlay to try to make the lighting do what I wanted. I was pretty happy with it - it was much better than other shots I've tried with her at that spot. Thanks for your feedback1
@dkbarnett I was really hoping you would see this! I tried this after you were kind enough to explain how you made the lighting effect on your old building. My program didn't have the keyhole component but I could do the same type of thing a different way. It made such a difference to the photo. So thank you very much for kindly sharing the idea - I really appreciate it! And it opens up lots of other similar ideas too! Cheers Rob
