This is also part of the Golden Circle - unfortunately a very popular part!! These are only a few of the people there - hundreds more lined the cliffs and the various viewing stations.
@suzanne234 Hi Suzanne- I suppose it's a bit cheeky to complain about all the tourists when you're one yourself!! :) It is nice to get somewhere early though and have it not so busy, but unfortunately this didn't work in Iceland - some of the interesting places are about a 3 hour drive from the Capital - so everybody leaves early! Drat! :) It was still amazing anyway! Cheers Rob
@rosie00 Hi Lesley - it was a bit strange - the way the rocks were shaped it almost seemed as if the water was above the people. From this angle it looked quite odd.
@olivetreeann How true - really, really early! I think all the tour buses went early because it's about a 12 hour tour they do! Long time to be with a big group...
@casablanca LOL - it's cheeky for a tourist to complain about all the tourists!! At least this site was enormous - so the big crowd wasn't really much of a problem - there were so many viewing points. And it was a super powerful waterfall - huge noise and lots of spray. :)
