Wombat berries. by robz

Wombat berries.

There is very little colour in the bush at the moment - it's just too dry for plants to flower. So these were a welcome sight.
Can you eat these Rob? I wondered whether the image could be lightened a little although that mightn't have been the effect you wanted.

@rosie00 I think you are quite right Lesley - I brightened a bit on Picmonkey and I think it is a bit better. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

@rosie00 Sorry lesley - I forgot to answer your question - apparently they are edible but don't have much flesh on them. I guess wombats might eat them.....

@cruiser Hi Chris - I do't know how widespread they are - we get them on both the Gold Coast and at Stanthorpe. :)

@jacqbb Hi Jacqueline - thanks for your very useful comment - Lesley suggested it was a bit dark - so this is the brightened version. :)

@robz Ah good for their colour then, not so satisfying to eat!!

It's interesting to me that your extreme heat robs you of color as we have a lack of color for the opposite temperature. Good spot!

@olivetreeann Thanks Ann - I do, however, envy you your photo opportunities against the white snowy backgrounds... Oh well! :)

@golftragic Thanks Marnie - it's better now that it's brighter - I love it when another 365er can offer a helpful suggestion in such a nice way. Thanks for your feedback. Cheers Rob :)

@fr1da They are funny little things - a straggly little vine that suddenly gets these on it. They are a bit of a favourite.
