get-pushed challenge...

My get-pushed partner asked me to take an image after the style of Ans Markus. She is a wonderful artist but I am not very proficient at images of people so I tried to do a composite along the lines of one of the images shown on this website : https://www.tuttartpitturasculturapoesiamusica.com/2011/12/ans-markus-1947-germany.html
@jacqbb Hi Jacqueline - this was the closest I could get - it's along the lines of the lady and the bird - it's a little way down on the site shown above. :)

That hand is ever so eerie. I’m so impressed with your taking on so many hard get pushed challenges

Looks good to me.

I like it very much Rob, it looks like your model is covered in bandages wich Ans often uses and the combination with the butterfly is very good! Challenge well met!

Always good to see experiments and people trying to push the envelope a bit. This looks interesting, did it take long to sort out?

Very cool and a most wonderful impression of Ms. Markus' art. Fav. Challenge well met!

Most clever. That was a really hard challenge.

Very cute. And very clever of you.

Hi! Thanks for your challenge. Here is one for you - see if you can spell a word with your photos by finding shapes that resemble letters. This would require making a collage once you have individual images. Let me know if that would be a problem and I can come up with something else.

@vera365 Hi Vera - thanks for the challenge - I'll give it a go. :)

@fbailey Hi FB - I hadn't heard of her either - but I found her work very different and very engaging. And get-pushed continues to be quite a challenge!! Thanks for your support. Cheers Rob

@jgpittenger Thanks so much Jane - the get-pushed challenge is really a challenge - something different each week so it's never boring - and I've learnt so much from it. This artist was quite thought provoking. :)

@graemestevens Thanks Graeme - You know - I think you may like this artist if you haven't already seen her work...? :)

@jacqbb Thanks Jacqueline - I'm so pleased we didn't change the artist - I liked her work and it certainly was a challenge to create an image along her lines. It was nice to see that you could see some of her characteristics in the final result. Thanks again Cheers Rob

@peadar Hi Peter - The starting point was tricky as I had not heard of this artist before. She's very different - and I'm not good at images of people or at posed images - so it was an interesting challenge! The composite itself didn't take too long though. Thanks for your interest. Cheers Rob

omg...I am always more and more impressed with your skills! glad you are a 375 friend! I have no clue how you did this...is this a portrait you took and then composited??? And if so, how did you get such a diaphanous look? (and I remember those long ago days of answering your questions!!)

I was always overwhelmed with trying to come up with creative challenges for others and gave up

@granagringa Lol Granagringa - I still know very little about photography as such but I've had so much fun with the IT component that I'm finding the editing easier now. I'm hopeless at people photos so this was an image of "woman in white" from Google. Some distortions and transparencies then produced the effects on the dress and arms and then one Google butterfly did the rest. So - not a single homegrown image in this - usually I have at least one of my own in there somewhere!!! I started with a blank black background so that the transparencies gave that weird look. It's always fun and I'm so pleased that you liked the end result and thank you so much for your high praise!!. Cheers Rob

@jgpittenger Lol - funny you should say that Jane - that's the part I find hard too. Now I have a series of saved Google pages along the lines of "photographic challenges"! Cheating, I know, but much easier... Cheers Rob
