@fbailey Hi FB - LOL - you give me much, too much credit..... My little camera does this really easily - it's just an exposure choice On the P setting. I was pretty excited to find it on the Nikon too. It's a little button under the button you use to take the photo. There are two buttons there - one is the metering button and the other is the exposure bias button. You just hold in whichever one you want and the move the dial behind the them to change it. The spot metering shows up as a single dot in a little rectangle. It seems to be really good with the IR camera. I have a photo I took a couple of days ago that I was really pleased with - I'll upload it now for you to see what you think. It's a photo of a dead tree. Cheers Rob
@fbailey No - I've been confusing there. It's not the P setting on the Nikon - just the normal A setting but with the Spot metering added on top of it. :)
