Built by a man with a mission - he trekked 30 miles to the nearest road to bring in tents as temporary accommodation, he logged the trees, he dressed the timber, and slowly built this Chalet by hand.
He's now acknowledged as the man who fought for, and achieved, the declaration of this area as the Cradle Mountain N.P.
