We were exploring "The Pebbles" N.P. - a delightful combination of "arid area" plants and huge red boulders. We came to a shelter shed and stopped for a rest. Inside the roof of the shed was the most amazing collection of clay structures - they looked as if a potter had sculptured them. We walked on and came to another shed - and found the tiny "potter" hard at work. He was a tiny finch which can be seen if you look carefully.
Apparently they build from the inside out - he was just at the stage of building up the grass lining section before completing the outer clay
funnel. An amazing sight.
