The very last dandelion.. by robz

The very last dandelion..

Solarized this time. The effect is due to tone reversal and was first observed in cases of extreme overexposure of the photographic film in the camera. To me it seems most pleasing when the changes occur in the midtone region.
Babs @onewing introduced me to this interesting format with her wonderful series of city shots.
Now it looks like heaven has chosen this one dandelion and is streaming its glorious rays upon it! This has been a fun series.

Nice result. It is quite addictive.

You should put these three shots together in a triptych. They would look good all next to each other.

The solarized filter does produce some great images.

@granagringa Ah - how well spotted by you Madeline. :) I don't have an automatic Solarize feature. So it was trial and error. I found that I liked the solarized ones better if they had a bit of a backlit appearance. So I eventually fiddled around with part transparencies and part back lighting filters. Hence, that sort of extra... Did you like it or did you think it was a distraction? Cheers Rob

Thanks everybody for choosing this as your favourite or commenting on the lighting. I found that I liked the solarized ones better if they had a bit of a backlit appearance. So I eventually fiddled around with part transparencies and part back lighting filters. Your feedback has been so helpful! Many thanks and cheers. Rob
