Always a surprise..

Same dam, same IR camera, same settings but about 4m difference in the pov. The uneven, jarring result on the bottom was due to rays from the setting sun.

@billdavidson Thanks for your nice comment - after I read it I went back and had a look at the top one. I think the curve of the tree in the foreground adds interest in the way in which the curve follows through in the reflection. I'd love to be able to say I planned it like that! Cheers Rob :)

Thanks for your great comments about the differences seen with the two different povs. When I took these I had no idea there would be such a difference. I just see the scene through the eyepiece - just looking as it would normally look. It's only afterwards that you can see the difference the lighting has on the outcome.
