Very interesting, thanks for the link Rob. Hardly ever use my crystal ball but I got it really cheaply from Ebay. Big problem is the dogs think it should be theirs!
I like that - what a lovely idea. I just bought a crystal ball on Amazon and had my first go this morning! It's lurking on my extras today. No idea what to do with it, so I am gleaning ideas from everyone else LOL!
@sarahlth Hi Sarah - thanks for your comment - it's a bit tricky to hold it and then focus on it - more good luck than anything! Cheers Rob P.S. The "contrasts" theme for this week seems pretty open-ended - I thought I'd just use my mosaic image ?
@fbailey An Ebay purchase - I hadn't thought of looking there. Thanks for the suggestion. It might be fun to own one. (I've used the little tripod quite a lot.) I don't quite know how the crystals function - could you catch one of your dogs in it (if you could trick him to leave it alone!) - or is it an upside down image? Cheers Rob
@casablanca Amazon too - FB just mentioned Ebay! I think it might be fun to have one. Was it easy to use when you tried it - eg how do you balance it on something? I'll go and have a look at your result straight away - what fun!! :)
It is an upside down image, and I did get one if the girls in it by accident. Not a good shot though. You need something to stand it on too. I use a small upturned glass jar as I couldn't get the knack of balancing it on a tripod. Beware of wedging it in between the fork of a tree as they can easily fall out and get scratched:) If you Google crystal ball photographs a young chap went all over Spain taking just c/ball pictures and then had an exhibition.
@fbailey That's all very interesting - fancy having an exhibition of just them! That's also interesting about the orientation of the image - I guess you could cut the image, invert it and paste it back in if you wanted it upright. Casblanca mentioned that she received a square glass cube to balance it on - that sounded good, although your glass jar would probably be just as good. I had to laugh when you said you caught one of your little girls by accident!!! Thanks for all the help! Cheers Rob
