I took this yesterday as I was driving back from seeing a client. There were loads of crows (or were they rooks?) circling across the field. Every time I stopped the car to take a photo, they zoomed off so this is the best I could do. However, I like the look of them whirling around in what was a really stormy sky. It also reminds me of a Peter Scott print that Mum has in her dining room.
I'm feeling very sad today as my Aunt (who is Mum's sister) is dying in hospital only 4 weeks to the day since Mum died. I went in to say goodbye to her this morning but just couldn't sit and watch her die like I did with Mum. This picture probably reflects how bleak I feel today.
This is a terrific shot with lots of great silhouettes. I love the look of the grass against the sky especially. Sorry that you have such a rough road ahead of you, Rosie.
