This is Bas (our cockatoo). He's such a fun loving bird and is really part of my family. He spends lots of time out of his cage with us and in the summer, I am going to try him with a harness so that we can take him out and about but he'll have to get used to that. Not sure whether he will take to it or not
He's out at the moment - every evening he comes out to play with us and spends a couple of hours being fussed. He loves being cuddled and comes and snuggles under the covers in bed each morning for an hour before I get up. I have the luxury of not starting work until 10 am so he has plenty of human contact as well as coming out of his cage when I get home at 2pm @caddick
@caddick Yes I go downstairs, he climbs up my arm and sits on my shoulder while I make the coffee and then we go back upstairs and he snuggles under the covers. He stays there while we give his back a rub and stroke his feet, beak and everywhere really. it's just like a massage and he sits there clucking away because he's content!
