Bath time by rosiekind

Bath time

I went up to the RSPB this afternoon but it wasn't very successful. I went straight to the hide only to be joined a few minutes later by grandparents with their very small grandchildren. It wasn't the childrens' fault but they were too noisy to get any really good shots. However, I did get this one of woody having a bath. He flew off just as they came into the hide! It's nice that people are trying to encourage children to take an interest in our feathered friends but not good for photographers!
That is a great shot, shame about the kids/grandparents.

This is a lovely shot. What RSPB site do you go to? I think I need to come birdwatching with you!
@pamknowler I agree, adults are much noisier then children.

@lellie I go to RSPB HQ at Sandy as it is just down the road from where I live - about 4 miles away

@rosiekind Oh, that's why there is such a huge variety in your bird shots. We live right behind the Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve at Trimley Marshes on the Orwell/Stour Estuary. It's a great site and only a couple of miles from the house, but mostly waders although we get a lot of reed warblers and sedge warblers etc.
Of course we are also not far from RSPB Minsmere which is wonderful, but also mainly wetland. Aren't we both lucky living so close to these wonderful places.
