Peacock Butterlfy

I went for a walk around Priory this afternoon as it was shopping day. It was lovely walking through the wooded part in the shade. I saw this little fellow before I turned off for the Finger Lakes and he think he was basking in the sun. It seems at the moment that I am more successful with butterflies rather than birds as they all seem to have disappeared. However, I could hear lots of reed warblers but couldn't get any pics of them as it is so overgrown at the moment and you can't get near them. It's even harder walking around with sandals and bare legs because you either get stung by nettles or bitten by insects.

I picked up 2 electric fires from someone on Freecycle for my 90 year old lady who needs one so that she doesn't have to have her storage heaters on when the weather gets cooler but not cold enough for all the heating. Hopefully, it will save her some money as her electricity bills are still very high.
A stunningly beautiful capture. Fav

Glady you did not. It's amazing how he is "draping" his "cloak" (wings) out like that. Wow. He knows he is a looker! fav and congrats on the pp!
