I've had a day off work today in lieu of Friday when I've got to go in so I went for a walk along the river in the village where I live. I sat quietly on the bank and pointed my camera across the other side of the river where I could hear willow warblers. I took a few shots but I think this is probably the one I like best. I wasn't sure after I had done it whether I like the background colour that I've put on this as the willow warbler is such a delicate little bird and I wondered whether it was a bit "heavy".
Anyway, after talking to Consumers Direct, I took Steve with me to the computer shop and told them that under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 my laptop was not of satisfactory quality and I wanted my money back. The chap said that they had tried to help me and now offered to reformat the hard drive as this could probably solve the problem. I was a bit tempted to let him but decided to stick to my guns and ask for my money back. Anyway, he said he couldn't do that so I informed him that I shall put something in writing to me as advised by Consumer Direct. He then has to reply within 14 days. However, I don't think it will work but I do have the opportunity to then approach the credit card company who have to respond within 8 weeks. I shall be glad when it is all sorted as I hate having things like this hanging over me and I must admit, I'm waking up early in the morning worrying about it all the time.
Love your composition here - the framing is great and I do like the background color. He's such a sweet looking bird. I definitely feel for you with the battle over the computer - it just hangs in the back of your mind continually. Wearing, I know.
Oh poor you I hate it when things like that happen. Let's hope it gets sorted soon, in the meantime try to put it out of your mind if possible. A sweet shot of this little reed warbler.
