Peeping by rosiekind

Peeping

This little wren was peeping through the undergrowth on the side of the brook. They are very hard to spot but as I didn't see the kingfisher, I thought I would post him instead.

I have had a really busy morning because I cleaned the house (just got the dusting to finish downstairs), cleared the tomato plants from the greenhouse and emptied the tubs of compost onto the vegetable patch, dug the last of the potatoes up and cleared up the beech nuts on the lawn. That meant first of all raking them but that didn't work very well so I got down on my knees and picked them up by hand! I tried sitting on the kneeler on the ground upside down and alternated between that and kneeling on it. I raked over the vegetable patch, got the lunch and then decided I would drive down to the Dovecote and walk to the brook from there. I am absolutely cream crackered! I should sleep well tonight and I've walked over 5 miles and more than 12,000 steps today and the day is not over yet!

Thanks for getting yesterdays images on PP and for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
